Our client is seeking a skilled and versatile individual to join their team as a General Workshop Operative. Theirs is a well established business in the Solihull area and they have been established for nearly 30 years. This is a full time role, temporary to permanent, Monday - Friday. This would suit either an experienced operative that is seeking to move into a new role, or a junior individual looking to make their next step from an apprenticeship. The most important thing will be your attitude towards learning, punctuality, and working as a team member. Our client works within the manufacturing industry and within the automotives sector, undertaking the manufacturing of conveyor systems. The ideal candidate will have the experience in: Using various hand and power tools. Operating a guillotine and brake press. Reading and interpreting technical drawings. Operating a 5-tonne overhead crane (an advantage). Loading and unloading deliveries. Performing general workshop duties. Conducting basic machine operations. Using a band saw for steel cutting. Managing stock control. Prioritizing tasks and adopting flexible working methods. Working effectively within a team environment. Maintaining general housekeeping standards. 2 years experience essential Overtime may be available with weekend work all at a premium rate Desirable FLT Counterbalance Licence Additional duties may be assigned as required.
