Support Worker - Accrington
About the Role:
We are looking for compassionate Support Workers to support young people with mental health challenges in East Lancashire. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centered care, helping promote recovery, independence, and overall well-being. The role involves assisting with daily living, engaging in therapeutic activities, and ensuring a positive and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement planned interventions and activities to support young people.
Provide assistance with personal care, including hygiene, nutrition, and daily routines.
Support therapeutic programmes and help young people engage in community activities.
Observe and record mental health, physical health, and risk-related information.
Follow all safeguarding procedures and ensure mandatory training is up-to-date.
Monitor physical health, including blood pressure, temperature
Desired Experience:
Previous experience working with young people or in mental health settings is desired.
Skills & Qualities:
Compassionate, respectful, and committed to providing person-centered care.
Strong communication skills for effective engagement with young people, families, and professionals.
Team-oriented, able to follow care plans and risk assessments.
Willingness to work on a rolling shift rota and maintain professional boundaries.
