Hours per week:
Shifts available -
Monday & Friday 6 pm to 11 pm
Every other Wednesday 6 pm to 11 pm
One Saturday in four 7:45 am to 4 pm.
Hourly pay rate:
Weekdays - £15.50. Weekends - £16.50 per hour. Mileage rate (if applicable): 40p per mile when transporting me in your own car to and from appointments

I am a kind woman who enjoys a wide range of hobbies, including arts and crafts,
music, theatre, films, art galleries and beauty treatments. The role includes
aspects of personal, social, and domestic care. I have complex needs so there is
opportunity for further training, and you will also benefit from a pension scheme!
It is essential that you are able to drive and have your own car as you will need to
be able to transport me in your car to visit friends and family.

Medication prompting/administering
Personal grooming
Eating and drinking assistance
Moving and handling
Clinical tasks
Other relevant duties as required

Bathroom assistance
I wear an extensive plastic body brace at all times and am unable to come out of it.
This means I cannot bend or sit down so have to be washed within my body brace,
lying down on my bed. I am able to wash my hands, face and brush my teeth but
you will have to be comfortable with all other aspects of personal care.
Daily bed bath
Foot care
Reporting on the condition of my brace
Coping with accidents and illness
Monitoring pressure sored caused by the brace.
Accessing the local community
Driving me to and from appointments, visiting friends and family, and the
shops.
Assisting me to further my interests.
Laundry and changing bed linen.

The role requires close personal contact with an individual who is extremely
vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission. Preference may
be given to applicants who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
Careful consideration will be given to applicants who can show the
vaccination is not suitable for them on reasonable grounds.
Additional requirements
Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working
hours

Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position you will be
employed directly by the individual employer and not Independent Lives.
Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued
