Regular Music seeks a dedicated Marketing Manager to join our team. Based full time in our central Edinburgh office, this is a busy and engaging role which offers a unique opportunity to work on the marketing of a broad range of live shows throughout Scotland.
Regular Music is one of Scotland's leading live music promoters. We deliver hundreds of concerts each year throughout the country by domestic and international artists, including the Castle Concerts series at Edinburgh Castle, Summer Nights at the Bandstand in Glasgow, and many more.
The postholder will be responsible for devising, implementing and monitoring all marketing activities including digital, social media, print and radio advertising to maximise ticket sales.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce marketing and advertising plans and manage associated budgets. Keep accurate record of all activity spend and maintain marketing reports for each show.
* Oversee the creation and approval of creative assets for all marketing materials. Work closely with our graphic designers and external agencies to gather all necessary assets for announcement such as artwork, images, biography, text, scripts and press releases and circulate to all parties: internal, ticket agents, pre-sale partners, venues and other media partners.
* Liaise with ticketing partners and venues to agree pre- and general onsale marketing support and ensure activity takes place to schedule.
* Manage and execute digital advertising on social media and other platforms within budget. Measure and analyse performance and optimise activity for better results. Engage with followers, answer questions, and foster a community of loyal customers and fans.
* Develop, implement and optimise email newsletters to previous bookers to drive ticket sales. This will include content creation, scheduling, list segmentation, management of subscriber databases (internal and external CRM), and performance analysis.
* Write engaging copy for print and social media, email newsletters and website which encourages conversion, and assist with copy for press releases. Ensure tone is aligned with our wide-ranging audiences and maintain a content calendar to ensure all platforms are kept up to date.
* Manage the design, production and distribution of posters and other printed materials.
* Manage the booking of print advertising and the delivery of advertising artwork.
* Monitor, analyse and report on ticket sales in relation to marketing and advertising activity.
* Undertake other activities in support of the team as required.
Our ideal candidate will possess the following:
* Experience in placing, optimising and reporting on digital media campaigns and using social media platforms and tools effectively.
* Experience of working with a CRM platform such as Mailchimp or Activity Stream.
* Able to build relationships both internally and externally in order to ensure great service.
* Good working knowledge of MS office, with skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
* Ability to analyse marketing data and generate insights for improvement.
* Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines across a wide variety of artists and events in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work on own initiative, prioritise and meet deadlines.
* Good copywriting and content creation skills.
* Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
* Self-motivated and meticulous, with exceptional attention to detail.
* 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
* Basic graphic design skills in image manipulation.
* A sound working knowledge of data protection and GDPR.
* Understanding of the live music industry, and the roles of agent, manager, promoter, venue etc.
Salary £30-34k per annum depending on experience.
Pension – Regular Music matches pension contributions up to 5% of salary.
35 hours per week. Contracted hours are 10am – 6pm Mon-Thurs and 10am-5pm Fridays with one hour for lunch.
The role will involve occasional evening and weekend work.
25 holidays per year in addition to bank and other public holidays. Additionally the office will close between Christmas and New Year.
