Applications are invited from enthusiastic and motivated people to join the Radiology administration team to provide clerical and administrative support in Radiology.
About the Department…
We are looking to recruit a Team leader to join our administrative teams within Radiology. Working within our busy environment you will be responsible for assisting in the provision of an effective, efficient and professional Radiology service along with the scheduling of the daily workload for the Radiology Department.
Main duties of the job
About the Role…
To provide a patient focused reception service.
To assist the Business Support Manager in the supervision and delivery of reception services. This aids national and local targets supports the imaging processes.
To assist in supervising staff on a daily basis, ensuring staff training and development needs are met and staff adhere to the Trust's required behaviours and policies.
What we’re looking for…..
Applicants should have at least 2 GCSEs (or equivalent) Grade C or above including Maths and English or an NVQ2 in the relevant subjects (or equivalent) e.g. customer care or administration. Knowledge and experience of NHS targets is essential as is the ability to work to tight deadlines. The successful candidate will be able to work as an individual and as part of a team having the ability to be flexible, being able to prioritise and organise work in order to meet tight deadlines whilst being able to adapt to the changing needs of the service. It is essential to be able to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, together with accuracy and attention to detail whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times. Good data entry/keyboard skills are desirable together with a basic understanding of medical terminology. ECDL or CLAIT (or equivalent qualification) is also desirable.

* Supervisory Qualification or relevant experience
* Minimum of 5 GCSE or equivalent
* Minimum of 3 years secretarial or clerical experience
* Previous experience of managing staff
* Ability to pay close attention to details
* Excellent customer care skills
* Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload to adhere to strict deadlines
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to plan and prioritise own workload and work on own initiative with variable and unpredictable demands
* Ability to motivate others and facilitate new ways of working
* Good organisation skills with the ability to work to a consistently high standard both individually and as part of a team
* Ability to deal effectively with difficult situations
* Ability to work unsupervised and take responsibility for own actions
* Data analysis and presentation skills
Previous Experience
* Minimum of 3 years secretarial or clerical experience
* Experience of working with the general public in a customer-facing capacity
* Knowledge or experience of NHS working
Qualifications
* Supervisory Qualification or relevant experience
* Good standard of education with at least 5 GCSEs (grade C or above) or equivalent, including English and Maths or NVQ2 (or equivalent) in the relevant subject
* Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
* 1st line Management Qualification
* Basic Knowledge of Medical Terminology
