Account Executive | Newbury | Full Time | From £30,000 per annum
Our client has ambitious growth plans over the next few years and is looking for motivated individuals with experience in internal account management, purchasing, or sales support to join their Account Management team.
Specialising in electronics, they are experts in managing all aspects of the supply chain and helping OEMs and CEMs across the UK, Europe, Asia, and North America to grow their businesses for over 30 years.
This role is a key part of the business, providing dedicated support for customers; understanding their requirements, placing orders with suppliers, managing delivery, service levels, and providing ongoing support.
Are you the right person for the job?
* Experience of B2B sales and/or purchasing (preferably in electronics manufacturing or distribution)
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Experience of providing excellent customer service, including working with colleagues to resolve customer concerns
* Pro-active, conscientious, and able to work on own initiative
* Good IT skills, including Excel and Word
* Previous experience of MRP systems
What will your role look like?
* Manage customer accounts; ensuring order books and price lists are accurate.
* Manage order books to ensure we deliver on time and meet or exceed customer expectations.
* Respond to sales enquiries in a timely manner and proactively identify new business opportunities.
* Obtain quotes from preferred suppliers and raise quotes to customers for repeat requirements.
* Assist with the preparation of BOMs from customer format into workable data with RFQs for new business with existing customers.
* Identify supply chain risks and potential issues when assessing customer requirements so that these can be addressed and resolved within our quote.
* Procure materials and services for repeat projects, in line with costs and timescales expected/required, negotiating further cost savings wherever possible with the order to place.
* Regularly review customer KPIs to ensure that quality, delivery time, stock/aged stock levels, and profit margin targets are met. Create and implement plans to improve results if targets are not met.
* Attend and contribute at customer meetings including QBRs.
* Liaise effectively with sales colleagues and customers to gain a clear understanding of requirements and optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
* Resolve customer and supplier issues, including financial issues (credit stops/limits).
* Work in line with our processes to ensure continued compliance with our quality management system.
* Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
