Learning Support Assistants
Location: Rotherham
Salary: £11.57 per hour, plus holiday pay
Hours: Various hours available on a casual basis, as and when required (Term Time Only)

The Role
In this rewarding role, you will provide in-class/out-of-class support to assist students with learning difficulties/disabilities to help them achieve their best possible outcomes. This may involve supporting with personal care and/or literacy and numeracy. You will be a key part of the Student Support team and will assist in the planning, preparation & reviewing of learning in conjunction with relevant curriculum staff, providing feedback and carrying out reviews as appropriate to ensure students are making expected progress and working towards outcomes.
You will have the personal skills to effectively support students, deal with challenging behaviour when it arises, and help them to develop their own coping strategies.
Skills and Qualifications
1. Hold experience supporting students in an educational setting.
2. Hold experience and/or knowledge of SEND, ALS, and EHCP's.
3. Hold GCSE A-C in English & Maths or be prepared to work towards.
4. Be flexible and reliable.
5. Have good interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Have good IT skills specifically in Microsoft and Google Packages.
