About the Opportunity
Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Nuclear Power station.
The Configuration Audit Team is responsible for ensuring the As-Built information reflects the site compliant design of the HPC project and ensure items of work are completed end to end. It assists with progressing aspects such as consistent design compliant to a set of agreed requirements and consistently implemented in the physical installation (also known as the “as build” configuration).
This role requires high levels of technical and organisational skills along with the ability to build strong working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
The main scope for the role is as follows:
* Along with the rest of the Configuration Audit Team, the role will be the preferred point of contact within HPC with regards to configuration audit processes, particularly the technical point of contact for Engineering Managers and Design Entities with regards to all configuration audit topics.
* Support to create the Audit Strategy, drafting the ways of working and processes required for the configuration Audits.
* Coordinates and controls Configuration Audit in accordance with the Plant Configuration Audit including resolution of audit actions, Non-conformances, and progressing audit reporting to verify compliance with standards examining contractor configuration substantiation documentation and configuration control systems.
* Responsible for controlling, supporting, overall steering and monitoring of the end-to-end configuration audit activities.
* Audit Report authoring in accordance with the Configuration Audit Plan.
Minimum Requirements:
* Degree in a relevant science or engineering subject or strong technical background.
* ICM CM2 certified or equivalent qualification or experience.
* Experience within the Nuclear Industry.
* Experience in the control of engineering documentation (such as Redline Drawings, Work Pack management, As-Built Information, Design Requirements, Execution Design, System and Sub-System design documentation, Factory Acceptance documentation).
* Understanding of quality arrangements required and associated with nuclear plant construction.
* Understanding of equipment engineering requirements.
* Knowledge of design processes and activities related to Nuclear Industry including change management, configuration Auditing and associated industry standards.
