We are looking for a skilled individual who is able to communicate and collaborate with a team of artists located around the world. What we need We are recruiting a Motion Graphic Designer to be working within our Global Graphics and Paint Department from our base in London. This position is ideal for someone looking for a mid-weight role. This is a creative and technical role, with a particular focus on the finishing and versioning of promotional A/V materials for Film and Television (including Trailers, TV Spots, Social Media output, etc.). The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of 3D & 2D graphics, a solid understanding of the visual arts, a healthy curiosity for design, and proven problem-solving abilities. What we’re looking for, from you Produce 2D and 3D motion graphics in accordance with Picture Head’s highest standards, as well as to client expectations Creating branded motion graphics with various elements, combining software output such as After Effects, Cinema 4D, Photoshop, Illustrator, and more Adapting existing graphics into new formats (e.g., 16x9 redesign to 1x1 for Instagram, or 9x16 for TikTok) Localising existing graphics for international distribution Converting elements into various formats for client viewing and editorial use Build and refine workflows, and problem solving alongside the Sr. Director of GFX and VFX as well as global Graphic Teams Coordinating with outside agencies, art services and clients as needed with each project. Work collaboratively with our editorial and production teams across the globe. A large responsibility of this role is to be able to follow workflows that allow team members to pass off work to one another. Quality of work from one artist to another must be upheld. The graphics and paint department at Picture Head is responsible not only for motion graphics for theatrical marketing, but also for painting out spoilers / nudity / gore / misc. legal along with VFX work for commercials and feature shots. What Experience we’re looking for The ideal candidate would be a 3D CGI Generalist with an understanding of motion graphics. Proficiency in After Affects / Illustrator / Photoshop / Cinema 4D is a must. Proficiency or baseline understanding of Maya / 3ds Max / Nuke / Render management software (deadline), along with the concepts of 3D modelling / UVW mapping / Texture painting / Camera Tracking / Compositing / Paint / Particles / Stereoscopic is a plus. Design and animation skills, and experience with third party plugins, such as Element 3D, Red Giant, Boris FX (Sapphire, Continuum) Experience of working to a high standard against tight deadlines At least 2 years of experience in a graphic design role Ability to take creative feedback as well as share new ideas Looking for strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask Able to build partnerships with both local and international teams Will have some overlap with other artists but will be solo for half of the shift, strong problem-solving skills are required. Be able to accommodate a flexible shift when required. Hours: Monday - Friday, 40hr week, 9.00am to 6.00pm An Early start/Early finish or Late start/Late finish may be required on occasion, based on the needs of current projects.
