An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, motivated Band 5 nurse or operating department practitioner to join the Operating Department at University College Hospital at Westmoreland Street. The hospital is located in one of the most attractive areas of the West End, close to Oxford Street and the popular area of Marylebone.
Main duties of the job
This role provides experience and skills development in anaesthetic practice in Urology, Thoracics and Robotic surgery, with the support of a dedicated Senior Clinical Practice Facilitator. UCLH is committed to ongoing professional development; staff can undertake further professional development via a wide range of in-house and university-based training programmes.
The successful candidate will hold the appropriate qualifications to be a current registered practitioner: either as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with Anaesthetic Qualification, or as an ODP. They will also demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development. Applications are welcomed from newly qualified practitioners.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a desire to work as part of a team and to develop skills in new and innovative procedures. They will be competent in basic IT applications.
