Client – Partnered with a leading high-tech organisation in the UK.
Role – We are seeking an experienced and proactive ERP PMO Project Planner to join our client's multi-platform ERP implementation programme. This role requires a well-organized individual with a proven ability to create, maintain, and monitor complex project plans, ensuring alignment with governance structures and holding stakeholders accountable for deliverables. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a solid understanding of project management frameworks, and experience working with cross-functional teams in a large-scale ERP environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, maintain, and update detailed project plans and schedules for multiple ERP platform implementations, ensuring all project activities, milestones, and deliverables are clearly defined.
* Work closely with project managers, team leads, and stakeholders to ensure that tasks are properly allocated and that dependencies between different streams are identified and managed.
* Monitor project timelines and milestones, ensuring alignment with the overall programme plan and escalating issues where necessary.
* Establish and enforce project governance standards, ensuring that all project activities adhere to agreed-upon processes and frameworks.
* Prepare and distribute regular progress reports, highlighting key milestones, risks, issues, and any deviations from the project plan.
* Ensure accurate reporting of project status to the Programme Director and steering committees, providing visibility into project health, potential risks, and key decisions required.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders, including business SMEs, project managers, and technical teams, to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
* Facilitate regular planning and status meetings, ensuring effective communication and coordination across teams.
* Push for accountability by holding individuals and teams responsible for meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work.
* Identify potential risks and issues in the project plan, developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address them.
* Proactively track risks and issues, ensuring they are documented, communicated, and resolved in a timely manner.
* Ensure the project plan is regularly updated to reflect changes in risk or scope, maintaining the integrity of the overall schedule.
* Support the change management process by ensuring that any changes to the project plan are properly communicated and integrated into the overall programme.
* Work closely with the change management team to ensure that stakeholders are kept informed of changes to timelines, deliverables, or scope.
* Monitor the impact of changes on the project schedule, ensuring minimal disruption to the overall plan.
Key Skills:
* Proven experience in project planning roles, preferably within large-scale ERP or IT transformation programmes.
* Strong understanding of project management frameworks and methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, Agile).
* Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring effective governance and alignment with programme objectives.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex project plans to a variety of stakeholders.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence business SMEs, technical teams, and senior leaders.
* Experience in holding team members accountable for deliverables and managing timelines effectively.
* Experience working on ERP implementations involving platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
* Familiarity with project management tools like Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar.
* A well-spoken, confident communicator with strong attention to detail.
* Highly organized and capable of managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
* A proactive problem-solver with the ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
* Results-driven, with a strong focus on accountability and performance.
Salary – up to £550 per day (DOE, Outside IR35)
