Job overview
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Staff Nurse working within the CYPS Lotus ward Based at Acklam Road Hospital, Middlesbrough.
Lotus is a standalone 10 Bedded General Admission Unit that provides assessment and treatment for young people aged between 13-18 years with mainstream mental health disorders.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as a member of the Multi-disciplinary Team ensuring that high quality individualised care is delivered which ensures safety and a commitment to promoting care and treatment to young people.
* Partake in the planning & delivery of clinical interventions, reviews and discharge planning.
* Act as a named nurse developing co-produced, patient centred needs based care plans through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
* Deliver high quality care that is evidence based, effective and equitable.
* Be actively involved in the health and wellbeing of staff, service users, families, and carers.
* Be visible and accessible to both patients, families, and carers, working together to ensure efficient, effective, safe, and caring services.
* Contribute to all performance indicators, essential standards, and quality outcomes.
* Contribute to the education and development of the workforce and students.
* Participate in staff supervisions and support personal development plans.
* Safely administer medications following trust policies and practice guidelines.
* Provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect, and dignity.

Knowledge and Experience
* Experience of working with service users with complex mental health/learning disability needs.
* Clinical supervision experience.
* Understanding of mental health/learning disabilities needs.
Skills and Competencies
* Good interpersonal and communication skills.

* Time management.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
