Aspiring Youth Intervention Worker – LSA Role - Education & Training Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to students, particularly those who may be facing social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
* Assist in implementing youth intervention programs to support students' well-being and personal development.
* Support classroom teachers in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
* Help students develop their communication, problem-solving, and emotional regulation skills through interventions and activities.
* Track progress and provide feedback to the teaching team and youth workers to ensure continued support for the students.
* Foster a caring and encouraging environment for students, building trust and confidence.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
* A keen interest in pursuing a career as a Youth Intervention Worker or in a similar supportive role.
* Previous experience working with young people, particularly those facing social and emotional challenges, is desirable but not essential.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to engage with students in a positive and supportive way.
* Team player with the ability to adapt to the unique needs of each student.
* Eagerness to learn and grow professionally in the field of youth intervention and education.
Desirable:
* A relevant qualification in education, youth work, child development, or a related field (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
* Experience or understanding of working with vulnerable or at-risk young people is a plus.
