The postholder will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring systems to manage the project. They will identify risks and ensure that appropriate mitigation is applied to ensure that quality standards are met, and project outputs are delivered on time. They should demonstrate exceptional project management skills, be effective senior administrators with responsibility for line management (where required), and have advanced communication and interpersonal skills. The post holder will ensure that all documentation is created and updated to the highest standard. The post holder will be required to make informed decisions and solve issues within the area of responsibility, ensuring that agreed targets are met in accordance with Departmental, local, and Trust objectives. A high degree of initiative will be essential. A key element of this role is to ensure effective communication and regular engagement across the Trust and with the NCA. The post holder will support the project by monitoring, reporting, and active management of performance against the above objectives. The postholder will have excellent organisational skills and time management skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload in a fast-paced office environment. They will have a key role in establishing and maintaining an appropriate participant-focused environment and facilitating the production of good quality research. The post holder will be expected to participate fully in their personal development and review process to achieve the objectives for this post. The post holder will be required to work across GMMH footprint.
We are looking for an experienced project officer with a strong track record of delivering projects within a complex environment. There is an opportunity to join our Research and Innovation (R&I) Team to support us in the development and delivery of a new collaborative project funded by the NIHR Northwest Regional Research Delivery Network (RRDN). This role will primarily be responsible for the planning, setup, and execution of a project between Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH) and Northern Care Alliance (NCA). The key priorities for this project are to increase access to mental health research for patients in acute care settings and improve access to acute care research for mental health service users.

* Postgraduate diploma or equivalent level of knowledge acquired through experience and further training / development

* Proven operational involvement in the management of complex projects involving multidisciplinary teams
