Job Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated .NET Developer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in .NET technologies, a passion for coding, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. You will be working within a cross-functional team to drive the continued growth of ecommerce sales and the development/maintenance of internal systems. The team uses the React framework, .NET APIs, and an MSSQL database within a microservice architecture. Although this role is primarily for a .NET Developer, there will be opportunities to work across the whole stack.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and Maintain Applications: Design, code, test, and debug .NET applications using C#, ASP.NET, and other related technologies.
2. Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with other developers, QA engineers, and business analysts to deliver high-quality software solutions.
3. Participate in Code Reviews: Review code written by peers to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
4. Troubleshoot and Debug: Identify and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
5. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for new and existing applications.
6. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve skills and the development process.
7. Mentoring Juniors: Guide Junior Developers as needed.
8. Voice for Change: Provide constructive feedback on working practices to improve productivity.
9. Shaping Business Requirements: Help shape business requirements into user stories.
Qualifications and Skills:
Essential:
1. Degree in a related field.
2. Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET MVC, and .NET Core (at least 3 years of experience).
3. Knowledge of MVC frameworks and .NET APIs.
4. Understanding of website security.
5. Experience working with databases (SQL).
6. Ability to trace errors over the full stack.
7. Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
8. Passion for web technologies and an interest in E-Commerce.
9. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new software systems.
10. Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
Desirable:
1. GCSE A-C in Mathematics & English.
