Head of Fleet – UK Leading Rental & Mobility Provider
Opportunity
Working for a market leading rental and mobility provider the Head of Fleet will take control of the UK fleet in order to maximise the expenditure and deliver the highest possible level of service to business and its customers.
The Head of Fleet is responsible for the delivery of excellence in all aspects of the fleet to provide value added, customer focused commercial vehicle fleet and administrative support.
Taking responsibility for a small team this is a fast-paced role in forward thinking, innovative, rapidly growing business.
Other responsibilities will include:
* Work closely with the operational team to manage the fleet and appropriate allocation throughout the life cycle.
* Manage the own and client commercial fleets.
* Seek continuous improvement by reviewing processes and identifying new ways to getting things done. All underpinned by ‘SMART’ ways of working.
* Act as the first point of contact for all policy related matters.
* Establish efficient SMR operations, minimising down time (Vehicle Off Road) of the fleet.
* Develop, establish, improve and maintain SMR systems and procedures to ensure consistent performance of duties and tasks.
* Ensure vehicles are serviced as they should be meaning end of fleet vehicles have full service history.
* Manage fleet and repair supplier costs to ensure we are getting best value and most cost efficient supply of parts, maintenance and services.
* Stay constantly in touch with industry developments and identity improvement areas.
* Be the champion when it comes to road safety and compliance.

* £50,000 - £60,000 basic

Profile
Operational Automotive experience is a must. You will either have worked operationally in fleet & leasing/rental organisations or indeed, have experience client side managing and developing a directly owned/leased fleet.
On top of this you will have:
* Operational Fleet Management experience
* Excellent internal and external relationship building skills.
* First class written, verbal and numeracy skills with proven experience in report writing and data analysis
* You take pride in delivering the highest standards and thrive in working in a fast paced, demanding environment
* Excellent attention to detail
* An up to date knowledge of the changing automotive landscape relating to all funding methods and in particular, the Electric Vehicle market.
