We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Coordinator (Postgraduate 18 month FTC) within our European Procurement Team, where you will be able to gain valuable work experience in a global FMCG company.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a postgraduate from a business-related discipline to join our Procurement department, based in Folkestone, Kent (hybrid role), on a 18-month contract starting in 2025.
This is a great opportunity to get some ‘hands-on’ Procurement experience within our direct Procurement team responsible for sourcing packaging and raw materials in Europe. This role also involves project work which spans Procurement and Supply in support of our quest to become more agile and responsive.
You will be working within a medium sized, very experienced team where coaching and developing individuals is a priority and finding the time to answer questions is always given.
Who we are looking for
We welcome applications from post-graduates (by Summer 2024) seeking their first Procurement role or candidates that have graduated and already have on the job procurement experience.
The ideal candidate will:
1. Be a postgraduate ideally in Business Studies/Supply Chain/Logistics.
2. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Be able to demonstrate a “can do” attitude and desire to continuously improve.
5. Have the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
6. Be well organised, with good attention to detail and able to prioritise workload.
7. Have an enquiring mind.
8. Be competent in MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
