Base pay range
We are looking for a talented and passionate Senior ML/AI Engineer to help take our development team to the next level.
You will be responsible for a small development team tasked with modernising the companies' application landscape and development practices including the introduction of ML/AI tools to the development team.
You will lead in the design, build and implementation of new ML/AI-based systems within the group and will need to support and mentor the team on this incredible journey.
You will need to be able to:
* Develop solutions within a rapidly changing business & commercial environment.
* Manage & mentor a small, internal development team supported by a QA and PM.
* Provide regular progress reports to the Head of Development and CTO.
* Design, build, train & implement AI models utilising tools within AWS & Azure environments.
* Manage the distribution of work within the development team. Work collaboratively with both 3rd party, external supplier specialising in ML-AI development and PAM senior, internal stakeholders.
* Implement new, innovative working practices within the development team including the use of AI to increase efficiency.
Some of the internal development team will be working on legacy applications and will be responsible for the integration of any new ML/AI into these applications as required.
This role does not require the post holder to have any experience in these technologies, but any exposure would be beneficial. C# / .NET 6.0 / 7.0. C# / .NET Framework 4.8. ASP.NET Web Forms ASP.NET. MVC. RESTful APIs / OAuth 2.0.
The following are the technologies that we are already using and/or would be interested in utilising for future ML/AI projects:
* AWS - EC2 / RDS / S3 / SNS / SQS / Cognito
* SQL Server 2019 / Entity Framework Core.
* Octopus Deploy.
* AI tools within AWS such as; Sagemaker, Bedrock, Lex, Comprehend
About You
* Hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant course (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, etc) or equivalent experience.
* Experience in managing & mentoring a small development team.
* Experience in working collaboratively with external suppliers and internal stakeholders.
* Conversant with using Azure DevOps to control source control, branching etc.
* Experience working with, and gathering, business requirements from stakeholders.
* Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
* Analytically minded and a creative problem solver – able to think outside of the box.
* Motivated and enthusiastic, willing to learn, and get stuck into new challenges with the team's support.
* Experience in the design, development, training and deployment of AI models in an AWS and/or Azure environment.
Looking for someone to be on site in Warrington 2 days per week and the role is paying £55-65k.
