Hours 37.5 hours Working pattern 43 weeks per year - Term Time onlySalary £20,217.58 rising to £24,101.02Grade (Grade 2, Point 7 rising to Point 12)Location Inscape House School, Cheadle, Cheshire Reporting to Head of Occupational TherapyWe are looking to recruit an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our Occupational Therapy Department within Inscape House School (part of the Together Trust. The post holder will deliver a high-quality service to children and young people with complex needs.The postholder will provide assessment, intervention and monitoring supervised by a registered therapist, for pupils with autism spectrum conditions which will enable them to develop functional skills optimising their independence. They will work in close collaboration with parents and other professionals within and outside the school.Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults is a priority for all employees.Key responsibilities include but not exhaustive;Under the guidance of a registered Occupational Therapist, you will;Work with a clinical caseload of students, including assisting on complex cases.Complete assessments of students' motor, sensory, independence and equipment needs.Develop programmes of therapy and provide these according to student needs.Liaise with parents, families and carers, external professionals, and provisions, and advise on issues relating to the occupational therapy input and students' development.Do you have experience of supporting Occupational therapy programmes of intervention and working with young people with complex needs with young people and adults with complex needs including learning disabilities and Autism Spectrum Conditions?Do you have excellent communication skills and the ability to relate well to parents and carers?We are looking for someone who can work with a case load both independently and within a team under the guidance of a qualified therapist.Would you like to help someone reach their potential?
