As an Electrical Maintenance Technician with our company, you will be working in a dynamic environment where you will have the opportunity to grow professionally and personally. You will contribute to creating efficient end-to-end solutions, minimising disruptions from the factory floor to the customer's door.
The role involves carrying out duties in a safe and environmentally friendly manner, reporting any deficiencies to management. You will be required to drive a wide range of equipment, e.g., Straddle Carriers, tug master, IMV drawbar trailer, Forklift Truck, M.E.W.P 's, Reach Stackers, Empty Handlers, Telescopic Handling Fork Trucks, tractor and tow 5th wheel and drawbar trailers, Simons Tower and company vehicles for maintenance purposes, to a height of 60+ meters.
You will also be involved in electrical work, including high mast lighting, reefers, and cranes if required etc. You must be able to follow and understand electrical / hydraulic / mechanical drawings. Additionally, you should be able to work effectively on your own and as part of a team.
In order to be successful in this role, you will require:
* A recognised Engineering or Electrical Apprenticeship in an appropriate trade course, such as City & Guilds level 2, BTEC level 3.
* Experience of heavy industry engineering.
* A reasonable level of numeracy and literacy.
* An understanding and appreciation of equipment functionality and service requirements.
* The ability to effectively plan and co-ordinate tasks.
We offer a competitive salary of approximately £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. This role is based in Southampton and requires the ability to work in the UK. A full valid UK driving licence or appropriate international licence allowing you to drive on UK roads is essential.
