PHNP Induction Programme:
* 3-week face-to-face induction (8.30am-4.30pm, Mon-Fri)
* 2-week on-the-job training with guidance (75 hours, round-the-clock shifts)
* Additional 3 weeks face-to-face induction
* 2 weeks guided placement
* 8-week integration including Driver Training
* Achieve Module 5 competency while leading as a clinician (supervised)
Part-time roles are available, but full-time commitment is required during induction.
Main duties of the job
Post-transition, the Clinical Practitioners will support frontline service delivery alongside Paramedics and pre-hospital clinicians. Key responsibilities include:
* Assess, treat, diagnose, administer medicines, manage, discharge, and refer patients in urgent, emergency, critical, or out-of-hospital settings.
* Provide clinical leadership, development, and mentorship to operational staff, including newly qualified paramedics and students.
* Contribute to integrated unscheduled/out-of-hours care involving relevant stakeholders.
Work in diverse environments, managing cases from birth to end of life, chronic conditions to critical injuries.

Person specification
Qualifications
* Nurse registered with Nursing & Midwifery Council
* Full UK manual driving license for 12 months (up to 3 points considered)
* C1 category license to be obtained within 6 months of joining
* Mentorship qualification or willingness to obtain within 12 months
* Pediatric Immediate Life Support (PILS) or equivalent
Knowledge and Experience
* IT literacy skills
* Ability to complete high-standard clinical records
* Leadership in emergencies
* Experience with diverse patient interactions
* Post-registration experience in acute or emergency settings or relevant pre-hospital voluntary experience
* Autonomous clinical decision-making experience
* Experience performing invasive procedures like IM injections and IV cannulation
* Experience making complex patient care decisions
Must hold a full UK manual driving license with at least 1 year of driving experience (max 3 penalty points).
Additional requirements
Applicants must meet health standards and will require a DBS check. References covering a minimum of 3 years employment are necessary. All appointments are subject to a clean disciplinary record.
