Electrical Supervisor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Supervisor to join an M&E Contractor on a hospital project in Liverpool.
Job Purpose:
The position will be based on-site, with primary responsibility for ensuring the technical feasibility of the project activities, or specific components of those activities. You will engage in managing health and safety, quality, environmental considerations, and commercial aspects of the project. Additionally, you will support the service in collaborating with both internal and external contractors to ensure successful project completion.
Duties:
1. Collaborate with team members and management to establish timelines and labour needs.
2. Address electrical problems as they arise.
3. Collect data regarding the electrical installation and anticipate any potential issues.
4. Develop a comprehensive energy monitoring plan.
5. Supervise electricians or electrical subcontractors.
6. Conduct electrical site safety audits and finalize electrical documentation.
7. Ensure that electricians adhere to safe working practices and electrical safety regulations on site.
8. Collect electricians' job sheets.
9. Confirm that all necessary documentation is completed as required.
10. Keep the Outlook calendar updated.
11. Provide daily reports on site issues or progress.
12. Support teams in resolving emerging issues.
13. Fill in for other supervisors as needed.
14. Identify corrective measures and implement strategies to enhance productivity.
15. Ensure that necessary materials and supplies are identified, procured, and delivered promptly to reduce project delays while maintaining inventory records.
16. Uphold effective health and safety protocols, including conducting risk assessments, preparing method statements, and leading toolbox talks.
17. Perform any additional duties pertinent to the position.
Education/Skills:
1. Previous experience in a similar role.
2. Good diagnostic skills are essential as well as the ability to design solutions for any remedial works on mechanical systems across a range of buildings.
3. Good literacy skills.
4. City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 in electrical services or equivalent.
5. CSCS/ECS card.
6. SSSTS or SMSTS.
7. Safety Level 1 course.
8. Proactive thinking with an enthusiastic character.
9. Well-organized and able to meet deadlines.
10. Excellent people management skills.
