We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our organisation, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all accounting processes. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with various accounting software.
Duties:
Preparation of monthly management accounts including accruals and prepayments for two group companies.
Collation of all reports both financial and non-financial, in order to complete monthly management pack for review.
Preparation of monthly budgets and forecasts.
Reporting of labour, overhead and capital expenditure.
Preparation of draft accounts.
Other Responsibilities:
Quarterly VAT return
Collating information for quarterly standard cost update
The jobholder will be expected to provide holiday/absence cover for other members of the team when required.
The jobholder will be required to perform additional ad-hoc duties in accordance with changing business needs and as directed by appropriate management.
