Hours: full time 37.5 per week
Contract Type: Permanent
Are you looking for an exciting career? Do you enjoy following routine tasks?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and determined individual to join our well-established team who will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive and modern Pharmacy service. You will undertake activities within the Pharmacy Manufacturing Department to continue the efficient and effective delivery of medicines to patients.
The role of a Manufacturing Assistant is a fundamental role within the Manufacturing department as you will be assisting in the day-to-day production operational work of the Pharmacy Manufacturing Unit.
Under supervision you will assemble, prepare, check/label, and print aseptic and non-sterile products for Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust (PHU), and its external customers. We will expect you to have a good eye for detail, an interest/curiosity in manufacturing processes, and the ability to work within a team environment.
Full training will be provided by our training lead as well as support from the wider team; you will be supported until a level of competence is achieved.
You will have excellent opportunities to learn and fully utilise your strong organisation and attention to detail skills daily where you will be making a direct impact on the rest of the Pharmacy team and patients too. As you will be handling various sized equipment, physical fitness is a must; it is not a sit-at-a-desk job and involves walking, lifting, etc., so perfect for those who love to be on the go! If you are eager and reliable you will do just great here at PHU.
We would love to hear from you if this sounds great for you and would be proud to welcome you to our team. Please feel free to contact Tanya Staite on 02392389078 or tanya.staite@porthosp.nhs.uk for further information or an informal chat!
