A Risk Lawyer position is available for a leading international law firm in London. The role involves supporting both the UK business and international offices. The position will assist Senior Risk Lawyers with claims, complaints, and various risk and compliance issues. The ideal candidate will have a litigation background, with some compliance experience being a plus, although training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support in managing claims, including notification, reporting, and liaising with insurers and brokers
2. Assist with insurance renewals (e.g., professional indemnity, cyber, and management liability insurances)
3. Investigate and respond to client complaints
4. Assist with regulatory queries
5. Conduct research on the firm’s obligations under relevant regulations
6. Draft risk-related documents, policies, and internal updates
7. Help with training on risk topics, especially claims and complaints
8. Maintain risk registers and schedules
9. Assist with file transfers and requests related to outgoing or incoming files
Skills and Experience:
1. At least 2 years PQE in litigation, with professional negligence experience beneficial
2. Strong analytical, document review, legal research, and organizational skills
3. Excellent communication, team collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
4. Calm under pressure and able to work proactively within a team environment
