An opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a leading civil engineering and construction company in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will be joining working on exciting and challenging projects. This role offers the opportunity to develop and grow alongside a supportive team, all while making a meaningful impact. What you will be doing: Reporting to the Commercial Manager or Quantity Surveyor, you’ll assist in managing the financial and contractual aspects of their projects, including: Gaining an understanding of the project scope, contracts, and commercial requirements. Supporting valuations, including re-measures and variation pricing. Assisting in subcontractor procurement and management. Preparing reports on cost/value and financial progress. Collaborating with the site team to ensure seamless project delivery. What you will bring: You will be proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about construction. Ideally, you’ll have: A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying (or nearing completion). Strong numeracy, communication, and report-writing skills. A proactive attitude with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients. Familiarity with contract administration and cost management principles. What will they offer you?
