Job summary
The North West Ambulance Service is looking to recruit an Evaluation Manager, who will play a key role in driving positive change and evidence based practice across the organisation. The role will enhance organisational learning and inform future programmes of work and strategy.
Main duties of the job
Working as part of the wider Digital Intelligence team, the successful candidate will be responsiblefor undertaking robust and meaningful evaluations to support a wide range of projects and initiatives. Developing excellent stakeholder relationships at a senior level, they will lead a collaborative approach to evaluation across all service areas working closely with clinical, operational and improvement teams. The post holder will also be expected to build relationships with external partners such as universities, research and evaluation networks and associated funders.

North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.
Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.
Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.
We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

12. Highly developed knowledge of specific evaluation methodologies used in healthcare Quality Improvement, such as Rapid Cycle, Realist Evaluation, Health Economics
Experience

13. Experience of conducting evaluations of socio-technical / collaborative programmes
14. Experience of working in healthcare, public health or health promotion
15. Project management experience
16. Experience in the design of an evaluation programme and/or research study
17. Proven leadership in the successful delivery of an evaluation programme and/or research study
18. Experience in quantitative or qualitative analysis, with a desire to work across both disciplines
