Description Permanent contract | £24,302 to £26,297 per annum (18.5 hours per week) or £19,444 to £21,037 per annum (14.8 hours per week) - Scale L | Job share | County Hall, Norwich We offer a £2000 welcome payment for qualified and experienced Social Workers/Occupational Therapists (grade J and above), Practice Consultants and Team Managers new to Norfolk County Council. Amount to be repaid in full should they leave within two years of employment. This is a job share role. Hours can be discussed with the successful candidate. To achieve this Adult Social Services and Children’s Services have developed the Preparing for Adult Life Service, that is Norfolk’s transition in to Adult Social Care service for young people. We are looking for an enthusiastic Team Manager who has considerable experience of working within a social work role, including experience of working with complex needs and risks associated with mental health needs or disabilities. You will have a professional qualification in social work and can evidence your knowledge and understanding of strength-based assessment, care management procedures and management/supervision skills. You will have experience of working with young people, as well as their families, and be able to demonstrate an understanding of the legislative requirements, especially understanding how to support a team to meet Care Act 2014 responsibilities, as well as legislation such as the Mental Capacity Act and Mental Health Act. You will also have a commitment to working in partnership with families as well as with the range of professionals and other agencies who could also be involved in supporting the young person as part of preparing for adult life.
