Here at GXO, we are recruiting for a Transport Team Leader to join us at our site in Crewe. As a Transport Team Leader, you will play an important part to ensure the efficient running of all transport functions while, making sure Health and Safety plays an essential part in the day-to-day operations.
This is a full time, permanent role, working hours of 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 6am-6pm

What you’ll do on a typical day:
* Supporting the dedicated transport operation for the GXO TJX network on the open book contract.
* Manage and coordinate the work activities within your team.
* To ensure all deliveries and collections meet the required contractual performance standards.
* To proactively manage the daily activities of GXO Logistics within the TJX contract.
* To ensure absence and holiday cover is in place for the role and assist in absentee and holiday cover where required.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
* Strong working knowledge of telematics systems as well as Tachomaster
* Operational understanding of team roles within the operation
* Knowledge of Company policies and procedures
* Working within a Fast-Paced Transport Environment
* Ideally experience leading a team previously
