About the position of Business Development Manager - Bridging & Development Finance
My client is a multi-award-winning property lender based in West Hampstead, London, specialising in short-term property lending. They have established themselves as a leader in the sector, offering loans up to 75% LTV on residential and semi-commercial properties for terms of up to 2 years.
As a BDM, you will be part of a high-performing team renowned for service excellence. You will not be confined to the office, as this role involves visiting brokers and managing a designated sales region. Reporting directly to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for promoting the lender's Bridging, Refurbishment, and Developer exit products.
Responsibilities for the role of Business Development Manager - Bridging & Development Finance
* Engage directly with introducers to discuss deal enquiries and structure complex cases to align with the lender's credit policy.
* Maintain a strategic diary of appointments, developing credible and trust-based relationships with the broker network.
* Actively seek new business sources through inbound enquiries, broker registrations, existing contacts, industry journals, and other avenues.
* Maximise sales of bridging and refurbishment products by identifying competitive advantages and exploring opportunities such as product innovations.
* Achieve agreed quarterly and annual targets across the various lending divisions, as set by the Sales Director.
* Attend and present at exhibitions, workshops, seminars, and other industry events to promote the lender.
* Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the lender's product range and services.
* Build an understanding of the lender's competitors and leverage the lender's competitive advantages when engaging with brokers.
* Record all interactions and meetings in the company's CRM system (Impact).
* Provide regular progress reports as required by senior management.
* Assist in the achievement of company targets and business development plans.
Experience and skills required for the role of Business Development Manager - Bridging & Development Finance
* Preferably a background in Bridging & Property BDM; however, candidates with other BDM experience in financial services such as Development, or Commercial lending may also be considered.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to confidently present to both small and large audiences.
* Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to develop trust with senior-level clients.
* A motivated and service-driven individual who is happy to be on the road circa 4 days per week.
