Daniel Owen Agency are seeking a proactive and experienced Audit and Projects Manager to oversee audit functions and manage key projects within the Train Cleaning sector, looking to be based in Bedfordshire. This role is integral to driving operational excellence, digitalisation, and innovation while ensuring compliance with both company and client standards. As the Audit and Projects Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing regular audits and leading strategic projects that enhance service delivery. You'll work closely with operational teams, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality standards and drive continuous improvements across the business. Key Responsibilities: Audit, Compliance, and Health & Safety Management: Conduct regular digital and operational audits to ensure compliance with company and client standards. Participate in joint audits with clients, maintaining objectivity and transparency. Prepare detailed audit reports with actionable insights, supported by thorough data analysis. Collaborate with operational teams to implement corrective actions and monitor progress. Ensure Health & Safety processes align with company Risk Assessments and Method Statements. Work with the QHSE Business Partner to manage and approve new divisional documentation. Manage non-conformities through to resolution, sharing lessons learned with local management. Maintain the company compliance register, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date records. Proactively perform audits during night shifts and weekends as necessary to align with 24/7 site operations.Action Management, Process Improvement & Innovation: Analyse audit data to create actionable improvement plans. Attend planning meetings with the Operations Manager and Site Managers to ensure timely completion of audit actions. Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of key projects, focusing on digitalisation and innovation. Develop and monitor project plans, set milestones, and mitigate risks to ensure successful project delivery. Drive initiatives that enhance operational efficiency through digital transformation. Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve business processes and enhance quality documentation.Reporting, Communication, and Stakeholder Engagement: Provide regular reports to the Service Delivery Director on audit outcomes and project progress. Communicate audit findings and project updates effectively with key stakeholders, offering insights and recommendations. Share best practices across the portfolio to drive continuous improvement. Ensure alignment with business goals by fostering strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.Leadership, Teamwork, and Operational Support: Demonstrate initiative and lead teams effectively, influencing positive change within the organisation. Proactively identify operational needs, including the necessity of night audits, without requiring instruction. Offer guidance on all quality-related matters and support operational teams as needed. Perform any additional tasks required to support business objectives and follow instructions from line managers.Skills, Competencies, and Requirements: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to diverse stakeholders. Ability to build professional, approachable relationships across all employee levels while maintaining fairness and consistency in audits. Exceptional organisational skills with strong attention to detail in audits, reporting, and data analysis. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with excellent presentation skills. Skilled in problem-solving, decision-making, and taking appropriate actions. Must have a clean UK driving licence due to site travel requirements. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a proactive, investigative approach to challenges.
