Salary: £35,097 to £39,507 per annum, increasing following the successful completion of the probation period and merits.
Contract: Full time, Permanent, 12-hour shifts - 4 on, 4 off
Over Time: Overtime is available.

We are now recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to support our mission of providing a safe and reliable tram service, performing maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for our rolling stock assets.
As Our Maintenance Technician, You Will Be Responsible For:
1. Performing preventative scheduled maintenance on the trams, working on systems incorporating mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
2. Performing corrective maintenance on the trams, which includes troubleshooting, fault finding, and diagnosis using computer equipment and on-tram diagnostics systems, followed by repairs as appropriate.
3. Supporting the testing, commissioning, and acceptance of new trams.
4. Recording all work activities, including all preventative and corrective maintenance.
5. Accurately reporting and recording details of fault finding and diagnosis.
6. Supporting Rolling Stock Engineering Management in delivering the production plan, ensuring exam tasks are completed in a timely manner.
7. Actively participating in ongoing continuous improvement activities.
To be successful in this role, it is essential that you have:
1. Experience in undertaking preventative and corrective maintenance on high-value safety-critical equipment.
2. Experience in finding and diagnosing faults in complex mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
3. Experience in the use of computer-based diagnostic equipment.
It Would Be Great If You Had:
1. Mechanical and Electrical ONC or a time-served apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical disciplines.
2. Engineering-based NVQ level 3.
