Teaching Museum Manager | 7840 | Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2027 | 37 hours per week | £36,124 to £37,938 per annum (Scale I) | The Shirehall, Norwich
Norfolk Museums Service is looking to appoint a Manager for its highly regarded Teaching Museum. This well-established traineeship programme seeks to broaden entry routes into the arts and heritage sectors, fostering a diverse, skilled and flexible workforce.
We are seeking a self-motivated individual to lead the development and delivery of the Teaching Museum building on its success to date. The Manager will be responsible for recruiting annual cohorts of trainees, devising a comprehensive development programme for them, and advocating for the initiative with stakeholders. In addition, you will have oversight of volunteering across Norfolk Museums Services 10 museums, and for skills development opportunities for museum staff. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, a track record of developing effective partnerships as well as practical experience of training, coaching and mentoring.
