This vital role is ideal for someone passionate about conservation and nature, and keen to develop skills in the sector. The role also provides the opportunity to participate in a Level 4 Apprenticeship programme, providing a valuable pathway for professional development.

Join our Parks and Countryside team for a role to protect and enhance Bracknell Forest’s nature and greenspaces. We are a highly driven and enthusiastic team that works together to achieve the best results for biodiversity and the people of our community. We are entrepreneurial and flexible, motivated in our work across our award-winning green spaces, and are always learning, passionate about developing skills and experience within the sector.
Key responsibilities...
* Carrying out seasonal work on the borough’s planted trees, including planting, watering and maintenance.
* Assisting the wider team with the delivery of biodiversity projects, including heathland management, coppicing, meadow management, and general site maintenance such as fencing, installation of site furniture, minor repairs, and vegetation control.
* Develop and sustain positive working relationships with site users, local residents, volunteers, groups, and individuals.
* Carry out play area maintenance to include cleaning of safety surfacing and minor repairs.
* Willingness to undertake a Level 4 Apprenticeship programme of learning, which may require travel and 2 blocks of 1-week residential learning.
