We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and committed Community Fundraiser to join our Dorset fundraising team. We want someone who is passionate about making a difference in their local community and who has a strong background in Fundraising and stewardship, in order to hit the ground running in this temporary position.If you are a real people person, organised, have excellent communication and time management skills and looking for a job that is fun, varied and like no other, we want to hear from you.You will love building relationships, public speaking and working closely with volunteers. You will be capable of inspiring and influencing others, carrying out your own project management and administration. You will also use your creative skills to develop and implement innovative ideas for generating income. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and retaining a diverse range of community fundraising supporters, activities and events and provide excellent support and guidance to current and new supporters in their fundraising activities. Engaging with local businesses and a broad spectrum of community groups, you will work to maximise income through building strong relationships within the Dorset Community. Projects in Dorset will include The Great Tail Trail in Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole, where the Community Fundraiser will play a key role in maintaining relationships following the trail, continuing to build awareness and raise vital funds for the charity. The Community Fundraiser will also be expected to help support and promote other projects, including the Christmas Tree Collections, Christmas Carols and Hospice Open Days.This role will offer hybrid working and hours will be worked daily across the week. Some evening and weekend work will be required, so some flexibility over working hours would be key. A full driving licence and use of a car for business purposes are essential.
