Team & Position Description: As the Pet Sales Manager you will drive the growth and profitability of Learning Resources’ pet brands Brightkins and Hunger for Words within the UK and EMEA markets. Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will define and execute sales strategy tailored to expand existing accounts and capture new opportunities in the pet market. In this newly created role, you will identify and secure strategic partnerships and leverage market insights to ensure the company’s sustained success in this emerging category for our company. Collaboration across functional teams, including product development, marketing, and operations and our US team—will be key to aligning resources and ensuring cohesive execution of the pet brands’ vision. What you will do day to day (responsibilities): Implement the Pet sales strategy to drive revenue, distribution and awareness of the Brightkins and Hunger or Words brands in this emerging market. Identify and onboard new business opportunities across UK and EMEA markets, cultivating relationships with retailers and dealers. Develop Joint Business Plans with key retailers identifying sales, product and marketing plans for the calendar year to achieve sales and revenue goals. Review customer performance and market data to identify sales trends, range expansion opportunities and marketing plans, aligning sales forecasts to strategy. Continuously develop market and industry knowledge and stakeholder relationships. Collaborate with internal teams across Marketing, Product Development, Demand Planning, Finance and Sales to contribute to collaborative initiatives that drive growth within the customer base. What we are looking for (Key Performance Objectives): Sales Strategy & Growth : Develop and implement a sales strategy for Brightkins and Hunger for Words within 3 months. Secure partnerships with 5 major pet retailers/distributors in the UK and internationally by December 2025. Retail Expansion : Onboard 5 independent/mid-tier UK and EMEA retailers or e-commerce platforms within the first year. Ensure strong product placement and category visibility in online and physical stores. Revenue Diversification: Achieve year-one sales targets by developing revenue streams and leveraging new and existing strategic partnerships and integrated marketing campaigns. Industry Networking: Establish Learning Resources as a trusted industry partner by attending at least 2 trade shows annually, generating 15–20 leads that convert into 3–4 new accounts in 12 months. Product & Marketing Alignment: Collaborate with product and marketing teams to create tailored promotions, packaging, and training programs that meet market-specific retailer needs. Data-Driven Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Implement data-driven sales forecasting within 6 months, providing accurate quarterly forecasts and delivering monthly reports with actionable insights for leadership. Requirements/Ideal Attributes: 3 years of sales experience in the pet industry or consumer goods sector. Proven success in securing partnerships with retailers and distributors. Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Experience in international sales and market expansion is a plus. German / French language skills would be a plus Proficient in CRM tools and sales analytics. Passion for pets and the pet industry.
