The purpose of this role is to support the warehouse and sales team, ensuring customer expectations are met and also achieving first-class Health and Safety as well as 5S standards.
The Role and Responsibilities:
* Responsible for department managers and supervisors, providing guidance where necessary.
* Responsible for the production and planning of the daily operations.
* Ensure activities within each department remain legal and safety compliant, with the aim to run a safe, injury/accident-free workplace.
* Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends.
* Work closely with General Manager and management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures, and systems and to follow through with implementation.
* Communicate changes to relevant parties.
* Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints.
* Oversee materials and inventory management.
* Conduct budget reviews and report cost plans to senior management.
* Review workloads and manpower to ensure targets are met.
* Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions.
* Serve as primary point of contact when there are employee issues escalated by department managers, alongside HR.
* Supporting all functions of the business to work together.
* Ensure the working environment maintains access to quality equipment.
* Adhere to our environmental policy by ensuring all departments dispose of waste in the correct skips (wood, metal, general).
* Ensure the Environmental Emergency Procedure is in place and maintained.
