Role Overview
As a Finance Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the finance department, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Your main responsibilities will include:
* Posting supplier invoices, reconciling statements, and arranging payments.
* Handling fee invoices, credit notes, and disbursement write-offs.
* Monitoring and authorising payments to clients and other parties.
* Conducting various reconciliations and posting between bank accounts.
* Managing credit control and pursuing unbilled disbursements.
* Supervising the Finance Assistant and providing necessary training.
* Assisting the Finance Director and handling special finance projects.
* Generating performance reports and ensuring compliance with firm policies and SRA rules.
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will be organised, detail-oriented, and possess a positive work ethic. Previous experience in a finance role, particularly within the legal profession, is highly desirable. Familiarity with SRA accounts rules is preferred but not essential.
