A fantastic opportunity has become open for a Band 6 Senior Practitioner in the Psychosocial Substance Misuse Team at HMP Leicester. This is a busy Category B Male remand jail.
This band 6 will lead the direction of the service as well as supporting the men with their recovery.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will co-ordinate and manage a caseload of service users, including those with complex substance use needs, developing and conducting assessments and managing care plans. You will support men through their care plan objectives by delivering substance misuse related psychosocial group and 1:1 interventions.
You will complete supervisions and appraisals, supporting the recovery practitioners in providing structured work to their service users and leading the team on a day to day basis to ensure effective service delivery and staff support. You will build and maintain links with community providers, working closely with partners to ensure the needs of each service users are met and that integrated working is a key element to Inclusion's services.

1. To work within a multi-disciplinary team, in HMP Leicester delivering a high standard drug and alcohol recovery service in response to the needs of the service users as part of Inclusion and Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
2. To provide a range of psycho-social interventions motivating and supporting service users to achieve recovery and positive outcomes within a recovery-orientated substance misuse treatment service.
3. To work with the cluster manager on specific tasks identified to promote effective service delivery.
4. To hold a caseload of offenders with complex substance misuse problems, developing, monitoring and reviewing their recovery plans, focusing on their therapeutic needs and achievement of their recovery goals.
5. Work collaboratively with clinical services to ensure service users are referred for clinical services and supported whilst waiting for or receiving clinical treatment.
6. To facilitate longer term psycho-social, CBT based group work requiring multiple session delivery.

Qualifications
Essential
7. Professional Qualification (Degree & Post graduate or equivalent) and/or Relevant experience in comparative setting
8. Considerable experience of working within a substance misuse team

9. Qualification in nursing, social work, probation, psychology or substance misuse.
10. Qualification in therapeutic skills.
