Job Summary:We are working with a leading engineering and management consultancy, supporting clients across various sectors, including nuclear, defence, energy, and transport. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team and contribute to the design and implementation of mechanical systems in multi-discipline engineering projects. They have an exciting pipeline of projects in the mix, including upcoming and existing work.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Involved in mechanical design and analysis within multi-discipline engineering projects
* Develop detailed design specifications and technical drawings using CAD software
* Conduct feasibility studies and analyse design options
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements are met and designs are optimised
* Prepare comprehensive technical reports and documentation
* Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in a multi-discipline environment
* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for creating detailed technical drawings
* Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) would be preferrable
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and strong communication and teamwork abilities
