Your duties will include: Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by senior management staff and GPs Chronic disease monitoring in line with requirements of QOF New Patient Medicals including urinalysis ECGs Asthma/Peak Flow Readings Hypertension Management Influenza vaccinations Chaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate who are being examined by another clinician Requesting pathology tests, for example urine culture Following agreed clinical protocols with referral to senior nurses or GPs as appropriate INR Monitoring Arranging home blood pressure monitoring for patients. Phlebotomy Home visits as required for e.g. : BP, Bloods, ECGs etc Chaperoning and assisting patients who are being examined by another clinician. Maintain general tidiness and cleanliness of areas of work Participation in administrative systems in the Practice Attend and participate in any Practice meetings when required. Undertake home visits for chronic disease monitoring. Monitoring QOF and undertaking call and recall of patients for chronic disease clinics Set up for and assist with: o Minor surgery procedures o IUD insertion and removal o Implanon insertion and removal o Assisting GP with Medicals o Six-week baby clinics Any other delegated duties appropriate to the post
