Referment is partnering with a Trading company that is looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to join their London team. This is an exciting opportunity as the role offers exposure to a wide range of cutting-edge technologies while providing exceptional support for the company's IT estate, but the successful candidate must be willing to perform 1st line support work.
The Desktop Support Engineer will have the chance to work with the latest tools and concepts to continuously improve the company's desktop environment. You'll be providing 1st line support for users at all levels within the London office, and you'll be part of a fast-paced, dynamic environment that fosters professional development.
With 3-5 years of experience supporting Windows Desktop/Server environments, the successful candidate will be driven to enhance their skills and contribute to improving the desktop infrastructure. The company encourages continuous learning, offering opportunities to work with new technologies such as Powershell/Python scripting, as well as expand your expertise in areas like Citrix, Exchange, Active Directory, and Audio/Video Conferencing technologies.
Key Requirements:
* 4-10 years of experience in a Desktop Support role, ideally supporting Traders or Portfolio Managers
* Solid technical understanding of Windows, Citrix, Exchange, and Active Directory
* Interest in new technologies and scripting
* Excellent communication skills and ability to handle challenging situations
