About the role

Vision for Education are experiencing a high demand from special needs schools across Burnley and East Lancashire for people who want to work as a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant.
1. You will be expected to provide classroom-based support to children from the ages of 11-16.
2. As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant you will have the ability to positively engage with children with learning difficulties and disabilities, alongside challenging barriers to learning including Looked After Children (LAC) and students from underprivileged backgrounds.
3. You will be required to assist young people with a range of Moderate Learning difficulties, primarily Autism in addition to Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH).
4. There are opportunities for the role to become a permanent position after a qualifying period is worked.

6. Students are placed in classes based on their ability levels as well as their age with many classes being across a key stage (KS3 or KS4)

Salary
£400 to £450 per week
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
