We are recruiting a Family Worker for Wellbeing at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 37 Hours
Contract Type: Full Time/Fixed Term until 31-03-2025 with the potential to extend subject to ongoing Flying Start funding.
Location: Various Locations across the Borough
This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Early Years Team.
We pay an attractive salary of £27,711 - £30,060 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
The Caerphilly Early Years and Childcare Service is recruiting an experienced worker to deliver our family support interventions in the home, in the community and virtually.
The support includes bespoke family support intervention working with the family to tackle the root cause of issues raised. This post has a specific focus to support families with mental health and wellbeing concerns whilst being an integral part of the family support provision and the wider Early Years team. The offer also includes delivery of antenatal, postnatal and various parenting / family support programmes as identified as needed by the family. All interventions are for children aged 0-7years aiming to help parents help their child’s development and support family resilience. While the post is based in Parc Y Felin ICC, the successful applicant will be expected to work in an agile way across the borough in homes and community venues, as well as some working from home. This post is part of a wider Early Years and Childcare Team and partnership working is essential.
The successful person will be expected to learn basic conversational Welsh and will have experience in delivering packages of family support in the home or community.
For the role, we ask that you have:
A relevant Level 3 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example within a relevant setting such as Education, Health, Social Care, Community Development.
Knowledge of family support, mental health and wellbeing support, and family assessment tools for coordination of appropriate support for families.
A full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend meetings and visit families at their home.
