Are you an experienced educator or teaching assistant looking for a dynamic role in a school setting? We are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor and Activity Coordinator to join our team. This role involves supervising classes in the absence of a teacher, ensuring students stay engaged with their learning, and maintaining a positive classroom environment. Also you will be responsible for organising, overseeing, and enhancing extracurricular activities and events for students
In addition to classroom supervision, you will provide administrative support to the school’s academic and administrative teams, assist with library duties, and help uphold school policies. The ideal candidate will have previous teaching or TA experience, strong classroom management skills, and the ability to adapt to different learning environments
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:45 am – 5:00 pm, term time
Requirements:
* Previous teaching or teaching assistant (TA) experience required.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Assisting Students with Their Work
· Support students in understanding and completing assigned tasks.
· Ensure learning objectives are met as outlined in the teacher’s lesson plan.
· Provide additional guidance to pupils who require extra assistance.
Managing Classroom Behavior
· Supervise students in the absence of the teacher or teaching assistant.
· Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
· Enforce school policies to prevent disruptions and promote discipline.
Handling Emergencies and Classroom Issues
· Manage immediate concerns and emergencies in line with school policies.
· Report any significant incidents to the appropriate school staff.
Collecting Assignments and Class Projects
· Ensure all assigned work is completed and submitted on time.
· Mark or organise collected assignments as per teacher instructions.
Preparing Class Reports
· Document student behaviour, completed work, and any challenges faced.
· Provide feedback to teachers regarding progress and any concerns.
Administrative Support & library duties (if no lesson supervision is required)
· Assist the administrative and academic team with clerical and organisational tasks.
· Support school operations, including data entry, organisational tasks, and document preparation.
· Supervise students using the library, ensuring a quiet and focused environment.
· Maintain the library’s organisation
Events & Extracurricular Activities
Overseeing, and enhancing extracurricular activities and events for students
