An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as aNamedProfessional forSafeguardingChildren for Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.You will join a large dynamic team whoprovideexpert safeguarding childrenadvice,supervision,and training to staff across BerkshireHealthcareincluding universal services, allied professionals and CAMHS. Youwill have the opportunity to develop skills in both child and adult safeguarding,willreceive training and support and work with multi-agency partners to develop safeguarding practice.
• You will support and offer expert advice to Berkshire Healthcare staff in all aspects of their work with children and families where there are child protection concerns.
• When necessary, attend Child Protection Conferences to provide expert advice and support, provide an objective assessment of risk and contribute to the multi-agency decision making process.
• Provide Clinical Supervision specific to child protection for staff as per the BHFT Child Protection Supervision Policy.
• Support community health staff in preparation of court reports.
• Prepare and support community health staff should they be requested to give evidence in Court under Children Act proceedings
• Plan,designand deliver child protection training for Berkshire Healthcare staff at all levels within the organisation.
• Work closely with the Assistant Head of Safeguarding in providing and presenting reports on Governance issues to the Trust Board when requested to do so.
• Contribute to the collation of health data for Internal Management Reviews andSafeguarding practiceReviews. Develop a chronology of eventsandcontribute to the analysis of the complex informationandrecommendations.
• RepresentBerkshire Healthcareon subgroups of the Local Safeguarding Children Partnership Arrangements and other multi agency panels asrequested.
