We are looking for a dedicated Cleaning Operative to join our team, based out of our Thatcham Office, covering West Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey, and West Sussex. This role involves cleaning and damage reporting of bus shelters and bus stop infrastructure, ensuring public transport spaces remain clean and well-maintained.
If you have experience in commercial or outdoor cleaning, a Full UK Driving Licence, and basic maintenance skills, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! You’ll also need basic IT or smartphone skills for reporting tasks.

Key Responsibilities
* Cleaning and damage reporting on bus shelters and bus stop infrastructure in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
* Operate within safety guidelines, method statements, and risk assessments.
* Manage cleaning administration, recording, and reporting via a phone-based app.
* Report updates and issues to the Thatcham Office.
* Maintain the upkeep of vehicle and equipment.
* Conduct weekly Checked Safe and mileage reporting via a phone-based app, along with daily observations.
* Ensure the van is stocked with cleaning materials and equipment.
* Occasionally assist with cleaning and damage reporting in other counties, which may require overnight stays.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Experience in commercial or outdoor cleaning (e.g., street cleaning, commercial premises, or public infrastructure).
* Ability to carry out minor repairs (basic maintenance skills preferred).
* Basic IT or smartphone skills (for reporting damage and submitting reports).
* Strong written and verbal communication skills (to document issues clearly).
Desirable Qualifications:
* COSHH Training (handling cleaning chemicals safely).
* Experience in grounds maintenance or facilities management.
* Health & Safety awareness (risk assessments, manual handling, PPE use).
* Knowledge of public infrastructure maintenance (bus stops, street furniture, or transport assets).
* First Aid certification (useful but not essential).
