Shorterm Group is currently looking to recruit an E&I Construction Manager on behalf of their client for a long term project based in Essex. The project is due to start in March 2025 with a duration spanning between 12 to 18 months.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
1. Electrical Trade background preferred
2. Proven Construction management track record with min 10 years' experience in Power Generation, Oil & Gas or Pharmaceutical Industries
3. Diverse managerial know-how in managing and coordination of multiple disciplines
4. Good understanding of commercial issues and experience in handling contract disputes
5. Critical human relations skills in understanding, selecting, training, developing and motivating people
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with adaptive and constructive thinking
7. Safety focus, experience in the enforcement of Safety Legislation and Corporate Safety Procedures and Requirements
8. Assisting in prelims, estimation, constructability review and budget proposals
9. Manage the earlier procurement of the packages to fast track the progress
10. Plan and establish the site setting up and respective enabling works
11. Responsible for shutdown & interface management on site
12. Ensure the works perform compliance to Spec, COP and Project requirement
13. Track and ensure that the overall progress is on or ahead of schedule and cost
14. Maintenance of daily record of all activities, labour & plant and any non-compliance of materials and workmanship
15. Close field monitoring to ensure quality of works delivery
16. Ensure ITP and document compilation compliance
17. Review Method Statement of Works
18. Manage the Builder's works e.g. Piling, Foundation, substructure & superstructure, architectural, external & infra-structure works, etc inclusive of respective M&E services
19. Manage multiple trades as well as specialist vendor/contractors
20. Manage the E&I contract, Mechanical and Heavy Equipment installation
21. Manage respective sub-contractors and monitor progress and reporting
22. Manage Walk-down, Punch-listing, Clearing and Closure
23. Interface and close coordination with Client, EP team and other project team members
24. Managing the pre-commissioning and commissioning works which may include IQ/OQ
25. Manage the turnover and closure of the contract
26. Fit and ready for construction / Oil & Gas site environment
27. Be a Good Leader, Independent and Proactive
28. Good communicator (verbal and written)
29. Calm professional manner but able to make firm and timely decisions
30. Positive "can do" attitude and be proactive to identify & resolve management problems
31. Be prepared to be fulltime and at ease in Construction Management
32. Be prepared to work extended hours per site requirement
33. Be a team player with good interpersonal skills
