SEMH / ASC Primary Teacher KS2 and KS3 (SEND School), Shaftesbury
Start Date: April or September 2025
Are you an outstanding SEMH / ASC Primary Teacher with experience of teaching and supporting key stages 2 and 3 with Special Educational Needs? Do you have a passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning and experience of teaching pupils with ASC, NLD, ADHD, SEMH, and other complex needs?
We are looking for a proactive, resourceful, and energetic SEMH / ASC Primary Teacher for key stages 2 and 3 across the curriculum, with the support of our specialist teachers covering Art, Design/DT, PE, Maths, and English.
You should be self-motivated with a creative approach to curriculum delivery and have the skills to continuously improve the learning experience for our pupils. You should have experience of working with young people with SEMH, ASC, and complex needs and understand what approaches work well and how building positive relationships are key.
We would like to hear from you if you are a skilled KS2 and KS3 Teacher and have a passion for inclusion and teaching pupils with SEMH (social, emotional, and mental health) challenges and those with autism.
Over the last two years, the school has been through positive changes and developments, with a new Headteacher, strengthened Senior Leadership Team, and a revised business strategy to support significant growth.
The position of SEMH / ASC Primary Teacher KS2 and KS3 has been created to support the growth of the school and the needs of our pupils.
