We are searching for a dedicated and highly skilled Deputy Manager to join our team at an EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) Childrens Home. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring our young people receive the highest standard of care and support. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Deputy Manager Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Supervision: Assist the Registered Manager in managing and supervising the residential care staff, promoting an environment of continuous improvement and excellence. Care Planning: Develop, implement, and monitor individual care plans, ensuring childrens physical, emotional, and developmental needs are met. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the home is compliant with all relevant regulations, policies, and best practice guidelines, maintaining our high standards of care. Support and Mentorship: Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to the care team to enhance their skills and professional development. Crisis Management: Effectively handle and resolve any critical situations or incidents, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and staff. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with external agencies, schools, healthcare providers, and families to provide holistic and integrated care for each child. Administrative Duties: Oversee administrative tasks, including rostering, budgeting, and maintaining accurate records and reports. Requirements: Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young Peoples Workforce or an equivalent qualification. A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care is desirable. Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a residential care setting for children, preferably with EBD experience (though not essential). Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and make informed decisions under pressure. Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the complexities and challenges associated with EBD, and familiarity with relevant legislation and standards.
